For three months I have been searching, and searching, and searching for Sarah. I even went on special "Sarah Star Search" days, but the day finally came, when I least expected it.

I went to the Chapters (a book store) on Robson (Vancouver, Canada) yesterday afternoon (July 11, 2003) looking at some Buffy books (ironically) that I had not yet bought (things like the watcher's guide, sunnydale high yearbook). I picked up the Sunnydale High Yearbook and was on my way to the second floor to meet up with my mom who was looking at magazines. Well, when I was searching for my mom on the huge floor, I saw Sarah with a very large man (assuming it was her bodyguard) looking at home magazines (at that moment she was looking at Architectural Design I believe).

For what seemed like forever, I was debating whether to go up to her and talk to her, or to just leave her alone because she seemed like she was very peaceful. Then my mom came up behind me and asked me what I was looking at and I told her it was SMG, and she then pushed me and told me to go because I had only been looking for her for like three months. Well, then I did it and here is what happened.....

Me: Hi, I was wondering, if you didn't mind, whether you could sign this for me (I didn't realize I hadn't payed for it until after this whole thing happened).

Sarah: Oh sure....(as she signed the book at the Buffy Summers colour pictures page I was staring at her with my mouth open in awe) You must be a real fan because only they are the ones who look like that when I sign stuff for them (starts laughing).

Me: Oh yeah, I am a HUGE fan. I've seen every single episode of Buffy, I've seen all of your movies, I belong to an Unofficial fanclub of your's and on top of that I think that you are like the coolest and best role model for girls everywhere.

Sarah: Wow, all that in one breath? You're really sweet, and I am probably so red right now because of all that you said. The reason we work so hard is for people like you. Here (handed me the book back). And only a real fan would buy this too (starts giggling).

Me: I can't believe I am actually meeting you. You don't know how happy I was that you were coming to Vancouver because I thought that I could finally have a chance at meeting you. You just made my day and trip to chapters so much better.

Sarah: Well glad I could help. I love this place though, it's one of my favourite places here.

Me: I think I better be going, my mom is waiting for me over there, she is the one who made me come here and talk to you, I was so nervous, I didn't want to bother you.

Sarah: Oh you haven't bothered me at all, I love signing stuff for fans like you.

Me: Thanks, my sisters are going to be so jealous. (sarah starts to laugh). Especially my little one, she loves Scooby Doo and watches it like at least once a week. Thank you again.

Sarah: Aww, well say hi to your little sister for me then. (she then gave me a hug which totally surprised me.) Have a nice day and be good for your mom!

Me: Yeah, bye!!

And that was it, she was actually the sweetest person I have ever met. I paid for my Sunnydale high book and am thinking of framing it. She was so down to earth and nice, and she looked so pretty. She was wearing the coolest cargoes with a white tanktop, and a kangol hat (I saw the kangaroo). She truly is the best and coolest celebrity ever.
